Why It Matters
The sole hotel on earth wholly designed by Karl Lagerfeld. It was his final design project before his death in 2019. Every element — from the bathrobes and bedsheets to large-scale sculptural installations — was hand-picked by him. The lobby features a KARL Kameo artwork made from a thousand keys. The spa has a one-of-a-kind jade installation he found at an antique store. Each guestroom door is framed in red, a nod to Chinese luck traditions and the red frames around his design sketches.
The world's only hotel tower entirely designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld — every surface, piece of furniture, and art installation personally conceived or selected by the man himself. It's part of SJM's Grand Lisboa Palace Resort in Cotai, but it operates with its own identity: Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star, MICHELIN Two Keys, and a design sensibility that is genuinely unlike anything else in Macau.
