The Lodge at St. Edward Park
Historic-meets-PNW-modern. Think seminary grandeur with custom architectural-drawing wallpaper, nature stone bathrooms, and an art gallery in the hallway. Serious about food and wellness. Feels more resort than hotel, but not stuffy about it.
The complimentary Sprinter van runs within a 10-mile radius — use it for Woodinville wine tasting so nobody has to drive
Why It Matters
One of very few hotels actually located inside an active Washington State Park. The building — designed by a prominent local architect and listed on the National Register of Historic Places — gives the place genuine character that can't be replicated. The only hotel in greater Seattle with a One Michelin Key designation (2024 and 2025).
A former Catholic seminary on the National Register of Historic Places, now a 84-room luxury boutique hotel sitting inside St. Edward State Park — 332 acres of old-growth forest right on Lake Washington. Seattle is 20 minutes away. The building's bones are all original: arched windows, historic hallways, the old dining hall. Columbia Hospitality runs it well, and the accolades have followed: One Michelin Key in both 2024 and 2025, Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice, and a spot in Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
