An 18th-century mansion turned 5-star boutique hotel in Bairro Alto, one of Lisbon's most characterful neighbourhoods. The original facade is intact; inside, it's been completely overhauled into 53 apartment-style suites — all with kitchens — and a rooftop restaurant that has some of the best views in the city. Think blush tones, bold Portuguese patterns, brushed gold lights, and Claus Porto toiletries in the bathrooms. There's no pool, and the spa is compact, but the location directly opposite the Glória Funicular and the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara is hard to beat.
