The Madrid EDITION is Ian Schrager and Marriott's second Spanish property — a 5-star, 200-room urban resort planted on a quiet baroque plaza steps from Puerta del Sol. The design is a collaboration between British minimalist John Pawson and Paris-based François Champsaur: think all-white rooms with dark oak accents and a dramatic spiral staircase in the lobby. The food and bar scene here is genuinely worth coming for even if you're not a guest — Oroya's Peruvian kitchen and the speakeasy-style Punch Room have both earned serious independent recognition.
