The founders are serious art collectors — pieces range from prints by well-known artists to things found curbside. The gym alone, with a 1910 pommel horse, 1940s gymnastics rings, and aerial silks, is worth a visit.
The Maker is a 11-room boutique hotel spread across three restored historic buildings — a Georgian mansion, a Greek Revival row house, and a 19th-century carriage house — on Hudson's main drag. Founded by Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, the co-founders of the Fresh beauty brand, it opened in August 2020 and reads more like a well-curated private home than a hotel: original art on every wall, vintage light fixtures, antique rugs, and a fragrance library that guests are invited to raid before heading out.

The Accessible Bedroom
ADA-compliant room on the ground floor adjacent to the courtyard garden and pool. Airy and elegant. The only room accessible without stairs.
Queen
The Apartment
The largest space in the hotel and the right pick for families or small groups. Two bedrooms (one king, one queen), two full bathrooms with heated marble floors, a living room with dining area, and an enclosed wet bar with Smeg refrigerator. Mid-century Scandinavian lines with warm earth tones. Has a 1940s vanity table set by Gilbert Rhode for Herman Miller and a rare Italian 1950s spider ceiling light.
King and Queen
The Architect Studio
The biggest room in the house. Imagines an architect's 1940s living space — disciplined balance of light, scale, texture, and materials. Fireplace, living area, and the kind of bathroom other guests sneak a peek at.
KingThe Artist Studio
Work space and living space blur together in this bohemian studio. Rich colors, layered patterns, and extensive original artwork. Located in the Georgian Mansion with a fireplace and living area.
KingThe Bedrooms
The smallest (and most affordable) rooms at the hotel. Boudoir sensibility with jewel tones and luscious textures. Field tile bathroom with rainfall shower and marble heated floors, oversized closet with hand-painted screen doors. 220 sq ft is genuinely compact — but the quality of finishes punches above the size.
QueenThe Corner Studio
Sophisticated Hollywood glamour. Abundant windows and natural light, lots of vintage photography. Corner position means plenty of sunlight but also some street noise to be aware of.
KingThe Gardener Studio
Inspired by late 19th-century iron garden pavilions. Wrought iron details normally reserved for outdoor use are paired with soft furnishings and botanical artwork. Founder Lev Glazman reportedly designed the shower with the control knob on the outside so you never get drenched by cold water warming up.

The Terrace Loft
Reminiscent of 1920s Parisian rooftop studios. Dormer windows, French doors, and a 300 sq ft private terrace with outdoor seating. Airy and informal, with eclectic art and a giant daybed. Best room for summer stays.
KingThe Writer Studio
For the curious minded. Original oak fireplace and built-in bookcases from the 1800s, personal travel mementos, curio objects. Antique limestone heated floors in the bathroom and a rainfall shower. A genuinely cozy room.
