Ned Doha
Ministry of pleasure. Seventies glamour meets brutalist architecture, with live music every night in the atrium and a convivial members-club atmosphere. More disco energy than corporate luxury.
Hotel guests get full access to the pool, spa, and gym — the members-only restriction only applies to Ned's Club Upstairs lounge and bar
Why It Matters
Third Ned property globally (after London and New York), and the brand's first Middle East outpost. Opened in 2023 in one of Doha's most architecturally significant buildings, designed by Lebanese architect William Sednaoui in the 1960s. Winner of the AHEAD Design Awards Middle East 2023 Hotel Conversion award. Michelin Guide selected. Houses 350+ original artworks from nearly 100 artists, curated by Mathqaf with a focus on female and regional creatives.
The Ned Doha takes over the former Ministry of Interior — a brutalist 1960s landmark on the Corniche, redesigned by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin — and turns it into one of the hipper hotels in the entire Gulf region. Think Murano chandeliers, mid-century furniture, 1970s glamour baked into the bones of a government building. There are 90 rooms, nine restaurants open to the public, a 30-metre pool, a spa with a Moroccan hammam, and a members' club lounge on the roof with views over West Bay and the Amiri Diwan.
