A steel-and-glass 5-star hotel on a 400-acre coastal estate within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, about 20 minutes west of Lisbon. The architecture is all about drawing the eye outward — past the clean-lined, minimalist interiors and through the floor-to-ceiling windows — toward the Atlantic Ocean, sand dunes, and the Oitavos Dunes golf course beyond. One of the two flagship suites, roughly double the size of a standard loft at around 128 sqm. Separate bedroom and a spacious open-plan living room with a dining table, large flat-screen TV, sofa and a work desk. The most panoramic of the loft categories. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around two sides and the balcony follows suit, giving you an almost 180-degree view of the coast and dunes. A good pick if you want maximum light and scenery without jumping up to suite level.

The signature suite with sweeping views over both the Atlantic coast and the golf course. The balcony alone is exceptionally large. Spacious bedroom, generous living area, and the full premium amenity kit. If you want a dramatic Cascais address for a special occasion, this is the room.

Same generous 64+ sqm footprint as the Superior, but the windows face directly out to the Atlantic Ocean. That distinction — sea versus fairway — is worth paying for if you want to wake up to open water. Same white-and-blue fit-out, two TVs, Nespresso, minibar, private balcony.

Entry-level room but still a serious amount of space. Open-plan layout with a living area that flows toward the private balcony. Views look out over the dunes, pine forest and golf course. Furnished in white and blue with extra-long beds, two flat-screen satellite TVs, Nespresso machine, minibar, and soundproofed windows. Bathroom has a separate toilet and a shower.

The top of the range and genuinely different from the rest of the hotel. A private villa with a king bedroom featuring a whirlpool, a full kitchen, a large private deck and a private pool. Complete seclusion on the estate. For guests who want a resort stay with none of the shared-space compromise.

20 bicycles (including electric bikes) available for rent directly from the hotel. The coastal paths and dune trails are excellent for riding, with Guincho Beach and the Sintra foothills both reachable by bike.
The Quinta da Marinha Equestrian Centre — considered one of the largest and best-equipped in the Iberian Peninsula — offers riding lessons and trail rides around the estate grounds and toward the beach. History of the centre goes back to 1924. Note: requires a short drive from the hotel, not on foot.

The course has hosted the 2006 and 2007 PGA Tour Estoril Open, and holds Audubon International Gold Signature Sanctuary status for environmental preservation. The 18th hole runs right alongside the hotel — a hooked shot genuinely can reach the pool area.
