A Tudor-style manor house — complete with a Gothic clock tower — planted firmly in the green highlands of Nantou County, central Taiwan. Founder Da-Lo spent nine years building it himself (with no architectural training), and the result is a convincing reproduction of English architecture right up in the Cingjing hills at around 1,750m elevation. Inside, the thematic commitment only deepens: Rococo antiques sit alongside Art Deco pieces, Regency striped wallpapers, Tiffany lampshades, and chandeliers. It's maximalist and deliberate, and somehow it works.
