The Pantheon Iconic
Ancient-Rome-meets-contemporary Italian luxury. Dark, moody lobby materials contrast with warm brass and bronze details. The design is earnest and specific — this is not generic 5-star gloss, it's a coherent concept rooted in the neighborhood's 2,000-year-old architecture.

Why It Matters
One of the very few hotels in Rome with a Michelin-starred restaurant on the premises — Idylio by Apreda (1 star), led by Chef Francesco Apreda, whose cuisine blends Mediterranean roots with Asian spice techniques. The rooftop Divinity Terrace is one of Rome's best perches for a direct Pantheon view.
An old five-story palazzo on a narrow side street around the corner from the Pantheon, transformed into a 5-star boutique hotel. Italian architect Marco Piva designed the space in collaboration with Pacini Building Workshop, pulling material cues straight from the ancient temple next door — gold Calacatta marble and black porcelain dominate the lobby, rooms have rich red marble bathrooms, and bronze archways with circular oculus-inspired motifs run throughout. The 79 rooms and suites each come with their own in-room wine cellar, and the sixth-floor Divinity Terrace has direct sightlines over the Pantheon dome.
