The Pinnacle Athens
Urban eclectic boutique. Think antique English teapots sitting next to contemporary installations, velvet curtains in soft tones, vintage wallpapers, and decorative fireplaces in every suite. The building is Seventies Modernist outside; the interiors are a layered mix of old and new that the hotel calls 'classic-with-a-twist.'

Why It Matters
Listed in both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. Occupies the tallest building in Athens' historic Commercial Triangle, giving guests high-angle views that are genuinely unusual for the city. The art collection is treated as a living project — works change regularly, so repeat visitors see something new. Awarded Best Suite of the Year, Boutique Hotel of the Year 2021, Best City Hotel 2021, and Urban Luxury Accommodation of the Year.
The Pinnacle Athens is what happens when someone turns Athens' tallest building in the Commercial Triangle into a 16-suite boutique hotel. The tower was designed in the late 1970s by architect Varangis in an Athenian Modernist style, its facade clad in over 3,500 metallic tiles that make it look like a mini skyscraper dropped into a city of low-rise neoclassicals. Inside, the design concept is deliberately restless: over 350 artworks rotate through the stairwells and common areas, and no two suites look alike. The Roof Garden on top delivers a 360-degree panorama of the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill, Plaka, and the Athens National Observatory that's genuinely hard to match anywhere in the city.
