The St Regis Cap Cana Resort
Modern Caribbean luxury, architecture-forward. Think design hotel energy meets island resort. Not all-inclusive — everything is à la carte.
The Quisqueya Mary is the resort's signature bloody mary twist — made with local rum and fried plantains. Worth ordering at least once.
Why It Matters
First St. Regis property in the Dominican Republic and the first European Plan ultra-luxury resort in the country. Designed by Tatiana Sheveleva and Boris Mathias. The 9-venue dining program is anchored by acclaimed Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz. Every room includes butler service. Punta Espada Golf Course is literally next door.
Cap Cana is the ultra-exclusive gated enclave just south of Punta Cana proper, and the St. Regis is its newest marquee address. Opened May 1, 2025, it's the first European Plan (not all-inclusive) ultra-luxury resort in the Dominican Republic — a genuine design statement with geometric staircases, a floor-to-ceiling indoor waterfall, dark woods, and soft creams. The 200-room resort sits steps from the Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Course (ranked #1 in the Caribbean and Mexico by Golfweek), with a private beach, nine dining and bar venues, and all the St. Regis signature rituals including daily Champagne sabering.

Included in every room category. Available via WhatsApp throughout the day. Services include bag unpacking/repacking, dinner reservations, activity arrangements, and any in-room needs.
For guests 12 and under. Programming includes yoga, island-inspired crafts, guided nature walks, and interactive activities. Complimentary for hotel guests.
The St. Regis brand's iconic evening tradition. A sommelier or trained host sabres a Champagne bottle — all guests present receive a glass. Complimentary and nightly.
Concierge arranges off-property activities: deep-sea fishing, visits to Scape Park, Hoyo Azul (Blue Hole), Juanillo Beach, Dolphin Discovery, and the Cap Cana Marina. Most activities are off-site and carry separate fees.
Four outdoor pools: a large family pool, a dedicated splash pad area with ice cream cart, an adults-only pool with shaded cabanas (each with a refrigerator), and a rooftop pool. Most guests prefer the adults-only pool over the rooftop, per early reviews.
800-foot private beachfront with sun loungers, umbrellas, and the Carey Bay Beach Bar on-site. Beach attendants. Note: Sargassum seaweed can impact beach conditions June–October.
Jack Nicklaus-designed 7,396-yard championship course immediately adjacent to the resort. Ranked #1 golf course in the Caribbean and Mexico by Golfweek magazine. Every hole offers dramatic coastal views. Golf club is a separate facility — fees apply.
A three-day celebration of culinary mastery and indulgence along the Caribbean shore. Event programming tied to the resort's dining program.
