The hydrotherapy playground — hammam, arctic plunge, eucalyptus steam room, ice room, infinity pool — is all complimentary for guests and rivals anything you'd pay a standalone day-spa premium for. Belle Isle itself has over 100 years of spa and wellness culture, dating to the Belle Isle Sun-Ray and Health Spa founded in the early 1900s.
Think of it less as a hotel and more as an adults-only spa that happens to have guest rooms. Sitting on Belle Isle — the only natural island of the Venetian chain — The Standard Spa has been the low-key antidote to South Beach glam since hotelier André Balazs transformed the old 1950s Lido Spa into this wellness-forward oasis in 2005. The hydrotherapy playground (Turkish hammam, arctic plunge, Roman waterfall hot tub, hemlock sauna, infinity pool overlooking Biscayne Bay) is entirely complimentary for hotel guests, which is either the best deal in Miami or the reason you'll never want to check out.

The wrap-around terrace has a four-person jacuzzi AND a soaking tub overlooking the gardens — good for groups of two or more who want to actually use them together. Here's where it gets interesting. Garden-level room with a private outdoor terrace enclosed by curtains — and your own personal soaking tub on that terrace. 345 sq ft including outdoor. Queen bed, daybed, spa rain shower inside. The alfresco soak is the whole draw.

The suite, at 555 sq ft, on the second floor with proper Biscayne Bay water views. Freestanding claw-foot soaking tub in the bathroom, separate living area, and a wrap-around outdoor terrace looking out over the bay. Mid-century vintage furnishings, hardwood floors. If you're going to splurge, this is the room — the view alone is worth it.

Garden Large
415 sq ft including outdoor, ground floor with a king bed, living area with daybed, and an outdoor terrace looking into the lush garden. The extra living space makes a real difference for anyone spending more than a night or two.

Ground-floor room with 345 sq ft including a semi-private outdoor terrace that opens directly onto the gardens. You step outside and you're essentially already in the spa grounds. Queen bed, daybed, spa rain shower, all the standard amenities.

Same second-floor garden-view setup as the Medium but with a king bed and 70 more square feet to spread out. Still not huge, but more breathing room and the better bed makes a difference after a long day in the spa.

The entry-level room and, yes, 230 square feet is genuinely compact. Located on the second floor overlooking the interior or exterior gardens. But the queen bed is properly comfy, there's a spa rain shower, a daybed for lounging, organic minibar, hooded robes, and Egyptian cotton sheets. You're really here for everything outside the room.
