The Swiftwater
Contemporary mountain luxury — think Vail aesthetics transplanted to Pennsylvania. Dark fixtures, forest green accents, and custom local artwork keep things grounded and specific to the Poconos rather than generic resort-bland.

Why It Matters
The only Michelin-recognized, Tablet Hotels-listed property in the Pocono Mountains. The plunge pool suites — each with a private, 4'6"-deep saltwater heated indoor pool and waterfall — are genuinely rare at any price point in the Northeast. No resort fees.
The Swiftwater opened in June 2024 as the Pocono Mountains' first genuine luxury boutique hotel — and it knew exactly what it wanted to be. A wood, stone, and glass facade gives way to a soaring lobby with a two-story stone fireplace, marble floors, a 10-foot chandelier, and warm timber finishes throughout. Six private saltwater plunge pool suites are the headline act, but even the standard rooms punch above their weight with Frette linens, quartz double vanities, and L'Occitane toiletries. The property is independently owned by the Trapasso family, who also run adjacent Desaki restaurant — that connection means hotel guests get room-service sushi delivered poolside.
