The Syntopia is an adults-only, all-inclusive hotel just east of Rethymno that trades the typical Cretan resort formula for a full-on bohemian-gypset aesthetic — wicker, wood, earthy tones, lush tropical planting, and Grecian pottery blurring the line between indoor and out. All 127 rooms come with private balconies, and the property runs three pools (including a rooftop), a full-service spa, open-air cinema, and nightly entertainment from live Greek bands to electric violin shows. Food and drinks are all-inclusive from 07:30 to 23:00, with a golden beach just steps away across the road.

The most distinctive room at the hotel. Leans fully into the tropical aesthetic with a private garden rather than a sea or pool view — dense greenery, lush planting, and the largest footprint of any room type. Great if you want privacy and the full gypset atmosphere rather than the views.

A proper suite with an open-plan bedroom connecting to a spacious separate living room — the first room type that feels like you have room to breathe. Views face inland or the pool. At 41 sqm it's a solid size upgrade and worth booking if you're staying for a week or more.
