One of Chicago's longest-running boutique hotels — originally built in 1927 — that just completed a full top-to-bottom renovation and joined Marriott's Autograph Collection in April 2025. Built in 1927 and sitting on a tree-lined Gold Coast block, The Talbott is one of Chicago's more enduring boutique properties. It completed a full renovation in early 2025 and joined Marriott's Autograph Collection — which means fresh marble bathrooms, Matouk linens, and Nespresso machines, all inside a building that's been doing this since the Jazz Age. But the marble-accented bathroom, waterfall shower, and Grown Alchemist bath products make the tight square footage feel more considered than cheap. Works fine for a solo traveler or a couple who don't plan on spending much time in the room.
