The Wick, Hudson
Industrial-heritage minimalism. Brick walls, hardwood floors, high ceilings in some rooms, old patent prints lining the corridors. Contemporary and clean, but not sterile. The bones of the factory still show.

Why It Matters
One of the very few full-service hotels in Hudson, NY — and possibly the only one connected to a major loyalty program. The candle-factory heritage gives it genuine character. The train-adjacent location makes it the easiest car-free getaway from NYC in the Hudson Valley.
The Wick is an adaptive-reuse boutique hotel built inside a brick industrial building that was once a candle factory in the 1860s. It sits one block from the Amtrak station in Hudson, NY — a small Columbia County city that's been quietly reasserting itself as a destination for weekenders from New York City. The hotel brings full-service hospitality to a town that, until recently, didn't really need it. Part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, it has 55 rooms and two on-site dining venues, and feels more considered than its chain affiliation might suggest.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Basilica Hudson, a major multi-use arts venue, is 0.3 miles from the hotel. Concerts, markets, and cultural events run year-round.
The Hudson Athens Lighthouse is a short trip from the hotel and visible from the Hudson waterfront, which is itself a short walk away.
Warren Street — steps from the hotel — is lined with independent antique dealers, art galleries, and boutiques. The hotel's location makes it the obvious base for browsing Hudson's well-established arts and antiques scene.
The historic estate of Hudson River School painter Frederic Church is approximately 3 miles from the hotel. Offers tours, grounds access, and sweeping Hudson Valley panoramas.
