Why It Matters
Born from 40 years of Varveris family experience in design, retail, and hospitality. The hotel's name comes from 'the Wild Ones' — the most fearless fishermen of Mykonos who once launched their boats from this very cove. It's one of the very few properties on the island with genuine seclusion and its own private beach without being a mega-resort.
The Wild is a 39-room clifftop design hotel on Mykonos' quieter southeast coast, built amphitheatrically into the hillside above a former fishing cove. Created by the Varveris family — the force behind the iconic Interni restaurant — it opened in 2019 as the anti-Mykonos Mykonos stay: no blaring beach clubs, no see-and-be-seen posturing. Just raw Cycladic beauty, a private beach only reachable by stairs, an infinity pool that appears to float above the Aegean, and rooms dressed in bare wood, terracotta, and moulded clay.
