Home to Schistó — the only Michelin-starred restaurant in the entire Douro Valley — helmed by consultant Chef Vitor Matos (6 Michelin Stars across his career). A 5-star boutique hotel on one of the oldest working wine estates in Portugal, dating to 1616. The hotel occupies restored historic buildings on Quinta da Vacaria's 38-hectare property in the Alto Douro Wine Region — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — with every room oriented toward panoramic Douro River views. Interior designer Joana Astolfi layered natural materials, schist stone, and curated art over the old estate bones to produce something quietly contemporary without feeling out of place among the terraced vineyards.
