Paris Batignolles
Industrial-chic lifestyle hotel. Equal parts neighborhood coffee shop, cocktail bar, coworking hub, and boutique hotel. Youthful, social, and anti-stuffy.
Request a garden-side room for a quieter stay — street-side rooms face rue Cardinet which can get noisy.
Why It Matters
One of the first TRIBE Hotels to open in Europe (designed by Thierry D'Istria, artwork by Ionna Vautrin), and a genuine neighborhood fixture in a residential corner of Paris most tourists skip entirely. Cocktail program was developed with celebrated mixologist Matthias Giroud in collaboration with Le Syndicat, a Parisian mixology institution. Monthly Comedy Club nights run in the social hub.
TRIBE Paris Batignolles sits in the 17th arrondissement's Batignolles district — deliberately off the tourist circuit, and all the better for it. The hotel leans into an industrial-chic aesthetic (think rich colors, bold contemporary art, a signature bear sculpture by local design brand Mustache) rather than the Haussmannian formula you'd find closer to the Opéra. Rooms are compact but honestly designed — 17 sqm, well-kitted-out, no fake luxury. The real draw is the Social Hub, a communal lounge that morphs from specialty-coffee spot to cocktail bar as the day wears on, and which is genuinely popular with the local Batignolles crowd, not just hotel guests.
