Hotel Urban is a glass-and-iron tower that makes absolutely no apologies for standing out against the 18th-century stone buildings around it. Inside, you get a gold-tiled glass atrium, massive Papua New Guinea wooden sculptures, Guatemalan green marble floors, and tropical teak wood everywhere. It's part art museum, part design hotel, and it works. The location puts you less than 300 meters from Puerta del Sol and a short walk from the Prado, Thyssen, and Reina Sofía — the so-called art triangle. The biggest room in the house and genuinely dramatic. A full duplex with the sleeping area on one level and living space on another. The Loft Suite faces Carrera de San Jerónimo through four-meter high windows, flooding the space with natural light — a complete contrast to the atmospheric lower-floor rooms. A few guests flag these as smaller than expected.

A clever two-level layout: sleeping area on the lower floor, 10m² lounge on the upper floor. Two flat-screen TVs. Features exotic wood floors, natural stone walls, and oriental sculptures.
