Vico Milano is the only boutique hotel in Milan to receive a Michelin Key in the guide's inaugural 2024 edition — and retained it in 2025. Seven rooms inside a traditional Milanese condominio on Corso Genova — a building with more past lives than most city blocks. First a Legnano racing bicycle factory, then a 1990s fashion showroom for the Baccheschi Berti family's brand Bungai, now a design-obsessed boutique hotel opened in 2021 by Neri Baccheschi Berti. The public spaces hit you first: a green marble bar, mid-century armchairs sourced at Milanese auctions, Persian and Afghan carpets, sculptural lighting from FLOS and Moooi, and art collected across decades of family travel. Each of the seven split-level suites has handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles, skylights above the bed with electric shutters, and Aesop on the bathroom shelf. No pool, no spa — just The Speakeasy, a beautiful low-lit bar and restaurant open Tuesday to Saturday evenings.

The entry-level room, at 22 sqm on the lower floor. Smaller, yes, but no less considered: blush-pink handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles line the bathroom, a solid marble sink, and a custom-made wardrobe provides generous storage. A skylight brings in soft overhead natural light. Genuinely quiet — you'll hear nothing from Corso Genova. Good for solo travellers or couples who won't be spending much time in the room.

Luxury Suite
The most spacious accommodation in the hotel, spanning two levels with 27–36 sqm. The lower level has a private entrance, dressing area, and a striking bathroom clad in deep red handmade Moroccan Zellige tiles with a solid marble sink. Upstairs, a king-size bed sits beneath ceiling skylights with electric shutters that filter natural light. Quiet, dark, and surprisingly cocoon-like for a city-centre room.

A two-level space running 24–26 sqm. The ground floor has a welcoming dressing area leading to a bathroom finished with handcrafted Moroccan Zellige tiles and a marble sink.
