Villa La Coste is a 31-suite Palace hotel sitting on top of a hill within the 200-hectare organic wine estate of Château La Coste, about 15 minutes from Aix-en-Provence. Architecturally it is a serious statement: contemporary structures built from local stone and oak stand alongside site-specific works by Frank Gehry, Tadao Ando, Oscar Niemeyer, and Renzo Piano. The art collection scattered across the grounds rivals small urban museums, with pieces by Damien Hirst, Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, and Richard Serra installed throughout.

Set in the heart of the hotel building, this duplex-style suite has the feel of a private townhouse. Sixteen-foot ceilings, custom-made furniture, and soft-toned armchairs define the 1,600 sq ft space.
