Why It Matters
One of very few Michelin Guide–listed properties in the Castelli Romani. Only four suites, all owner-managed. The private spa is housed in a centuries-old vaulted cellar and reserved exclusively for guests. The Beer Bath Experience — a 20-minute immersion in a Stock Tank Pool of blonde or dark beer — is genuinely unusual and not something you'll find at most Italian luxury properties.
A 19th-century villa in the Castelli Romani hills, about 20 km south of Rome, restored and reopened as a four-suite luxury guesthouse. The owners have invested hard in every detail — beds are handcrafted, mattresses are natural materials, bathrooms are lined in Ceramiche Coem. There's a private spa built into the oldest part of the building (exposed brick vaults, the whole thing), a rooftop solarium with a Wellis hydromassage tub, and a private garden. Strictly adults-only, guests-only spa, and breakfast is delivered to your suite. No restaurant, no lobby crowd — this is a quiet, intimate escape for couples.

The sea-inspired suite, decked in aquamarine blues with large windows flooding natural light across fine materials. The showpiece is the panoramic hydromassage tub in the bathroom — framed by a large window. There's also a separate emotional shower. Also on the mezzanine floor. Subject to availability, this suite connects to the Ambra Junior Suite through a small entrance lounge, forming a two-bedroom apartment sleeping up to four.

Ambra Junior Suite
The entry-level suite, but don't let 'junior' put you off — it's warm, thoughtfully designed, and overlooks the villa garden. Amber tones throughout, golden accents, and natural materials. Split across two spaces: a living area with table and armchairs leading to a separate bedroom. The Ceramiche Coem bathroom (Nostalgia line, Onice Cappuccino details) has a sensory emotional shower with chromotherapy lighting, aromas, and adjustable water jets. On the mezzanine floor with parquet throughout.
Double (B-Beds handcrafted system)
Perla Suite
The technology-forward suite. Inspired by the Venice Lagoon in pearl and soft neutral tones, with a large window flooding the bathroom with natural light. The standout feature is the infrared bench — an innovative back-treatment station using infrared light panels to relieve tension and stress. Add a double shower designed for two, a double sink, and Coem ceramics throughout. Also first floor via the period spiral staircase. It's the most spa-like of the four suites in terms of in-room wellness kit.

Smeraldo Suite
The largest-feeling suite — three full-height windows, deep emerald green furnishings, and views onto the villa garden. It's described as feeling like a private apartment, and you can see why: the airy proportions and quiet garden outlook make it almost meditative. First floor, accessible via the internal period spiral staircase. The bathroom is Coem ceramics with an emotional shower featuring chromotherapy and a steam jet. Owners describe it as a sanctuary for writers or a refuge for lovers.
