W Changsha opened in September 2021 as the first W Hotel in central China. Designed by Cheng Chung Design (H.K.) Ltd, the 27-floor property takes Changsha's nickname 'Star City' and runs hard with it — every inch of the place, from the LED nebula screens in guest rooms to the moon-lit W logo at the entrance, commits to a space-travel aesthetic. It sits inside the Yunda Central Plaza shopping complex, which means you're walking distance from a subway stop and a decent mall, but it's not city-center in the traditional sense.
