White City House
Midcentury modern meets BBC nostalgia. Think Mad Men set designer let loose inside Television Centre — wood-panelled corridors, RGB colour schemes, vintage fabric patterns, and Peter Blake artworks of classic BBC personalities on the walls. Creative, convivial, and very much not a conventional hotel.

Why It Matters
It is the only hotel in London occupying a Grade II listed former BBC production building, with one of the largest private members' club gyms in the capital (24,000 sq ft), a rooftop pool with views from Wembley to the Shard, and a basement Electric Cinema. Non-members can access the entire property by purchasing the Soho Friends membership (£100/year), making it more accessible than it sounds.
White City House is Soho House's west London outpost, occupying the Grade II listed Helios Building — the former BBC Television Centre, which served as the BBC's headquarters from 1960 to 2013. The 45 hotel bedrooms sit on the second and third floors of the iconic doughnut-shaped building, where broadcast offices once hummed. The interiors lean hard into midcentury modern: George Nelson lamps, mid-century terrazzo tables, fluted timber wardrobes, and bathroom tiles lifted directly from old BBC logo designs.

How you'll actually spend your days.
On Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, creative childcare company Bea & Co runs two-hour sessions in Studio A or Studio B, entertaining children aged three to ten.
Two screening rooms with rows of velvet armchairs, footstools and cashmere blankets. Dark blue 60s geometric carpets and velvet walls give a subtle nod to the building's BBC heritage. Members screenings and Q&As with major film talent are a regular fixture. Soho Friends members pay £15 (vs £25 for non-members).
Hotel guests get full day-member access throughout their stay. The ninth floor features a Games Room with billiards, a bar, restaurant and lounge running in a continuous loop. The tenth floor has the rooftop bar and pool terrace.
A 17m heated outdoor pool on the tenth floor, surrounded by floral sun loungers and retro parasols, with views across West London. Sunbeds bookable in advance via the Soho House app. Open daily 8am–10pm.
A 30,000 sq ft collaborative workspace in the same building with private offices, hot desks and meeting rooms. Open to non-members from £300/month. Separate from the club itself but directly connected.
White City House regularly hosts screening events and in-person Q&As with major film and TV talent as part of Soho House's programming — past events have included BAFTA season screenings and major Hollywood Q&As.
