Wildflower Farms sits on 140 acres in Gardiner, New York — at the base of the Shawangunk Ridge, 90 minutes from Manhattan. It's the first luxury brand hotel to open in the Hudson Valley, built on a former tree nursery that's now a working farm. Sixty-five fully freestanding cabins, cottages, and suites dot the meadows and forest, each designed so you never see another building. The farm actually supplies the kitchen. The spa actually uses what grows on the property. It's the rare place that earns the word 'intentional' without sounding pretentious about it.

Bower Cabin
The most intimate option — tucked under a forest canopy at the southern edge of the property, which means total privacy but no wildflower meadow views. Sliding glass doors fully open the room to 185 sq ft of outdoor space. Walls are decorated with textured canvas. The bathroom has stone finishes and a walk-in shower (no soaking tub). Goop bath products and an 'activities tray' are standard across all room types.
KingMeadow Cottage
The best views of the wildflower fields come from this category. Covered terrace opens to a private backyard garden with 210 sq ft of lounge space — Adirondack chairs and a daybed. Inside: vaulted wood-clad ceilings, built-in window seat, gas fireplace, and a bathroom with skylights, walk-in shower, and freestanding soaking tub. Rollaway beds available for families.
KingRidge Cottage
Same footprint as the Meadow Cottage but oriented toward the Shawangunk Ridge — the rock-face drama is genuinely striking from the 210 sq ft terrace with a daybed and Adirondack chairs. Wall-to-wall sliding glass doors bring the ridge view indoors. Gas fireplace, built-in window seat, and a bathroom with skylights, walk-in shower, and freestanding soaking tub.
KingRidge Suite
The top-tier option. Five suites in total, set in the wildflower meadows with sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge. The living room features a large sofa, settee, dining table, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The bedroom has its own gas fireplace and opens to an additional terrace with a private cedar hot tub. Two full bathrooms, an outdoor shower, 440 sq ft of total terrace space, and an expansive walk-in closet. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room works for families. The standout pick for couples who want maximum privacy and drama.
KingTwo-Bedroom Meadow Cottage
Eight of these on property — two connecting cottages forming a single suite with 1,500 sq ft total. Each bedroom is identical, with vaulted wood-clad ceilings, generous windows, and skylighted bathrooms with walk-in showers and freestanding soaking tubs. Two private terraces and 440 sq ft of combined lounge space. The main bedroom has a gas fireplace. Designed for families or two couples traveling together.
