Why It Matters
The first — and so far only — hotel from the Estiatorio Milos restaurant group, one of the most recognized Greek fine-dining brands in the world. Staying here means direct access to the Athens Estiatorio Milos, widely considered the most intimate of all the Milos restaurants, with a soaring ceiling dominated by a sculptural fisherman's net. The location, opposite the Old Parliament House and steps from Syntagma Square, is essentially the dead center of Athens.
Xenodocheio Milos is the first hotel from the globally celebrated Estiatorio Milos seafood empire, and the food connection runs deep. Chef Costas Spiliadis's Athens outpost sits on the ground and mezzanine floors of a landmark building opposite the Old Parliament House, and the whole operation is built around the philosophy of 'philoxenia' — Greek for a love of strangers made welcome. Forty-two individually styled rooms and suites occupy the floors above, finished with marble bathrooms, high ceilings, wooden floors, and velvet furnishings that walk a careful line between minimalism and genuine warmth.
