Why It Matters
One of Poland's very few castle hotels operating at a genuine five-star standard. The ZIYAD restaurant has a 35-year history at this site, the spa is carved into the rock inside the historic Baszta tower, and every single room has views of either the panorama or the forest. It is listed on both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels.
Zinar Castle sits on a limestone cliff inside Wolski Forest, 5 km from Kraków's Old Town. Originally built in the first half of the 20th century to designs by architect Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz — the same man behind Wawel Castle's restoration — the structure was later occupied by German commandants during WWII as Schloss Wartenberg. In 2024 it reopened as a 34-room five-star hotel with a serious spa, panoramic restaurant, and enough views of the Tatra Mountains, Vistula River, and Camaldolese Monastery to make you forget you're still technically in the city.

Same as Comfort Plus but positioned for the panoramic outlook — Kraków, the Vistula, the Tatras, or the Camaldolese Monastery depending on your window. Often the sweet spot between price and experience.

Spacious room category with statement design — the name reflects the grander proportions. Suited to longer stays or guests who want room to spread out. Mountain and river panorama from the window.
Panorama Suite
The suite category at Zinar Castle, with a separate living area and the most commanding views in the house. Some include a balcony directly overlooking the Kraków panorama. Freestanding bathtub with a view.
Premium View
Elevated category with a more prominent view orientation. Larger footprint and individually curated décor with pieces by Polish artists. Freestanding bathtub available in some units.
