$90-160/nightGood to Know
Move by Cluster, Not by Distance
Even short-looking walks on the Strip can take 20–30 minutes thanks to overpasses, casino layouts, and heat; plan days around one or two adjacent hubs (e.g., Mandalay–Luxor–Excalibur or Bellagio–Cosmo–ARIA) instead of bouncing around.
Hydration and Desert Sun Strategy
Carry a refillable bottle, use casino interiors as air-conditioned ‘tunnels’ between points, and slot outdoor photography in early morning or golden hour rather than mid-day.
Safe Solo Night Navigation
Stick to well-trafficked resort corridors, Fremont Street, and main intersections at night; use rideshare instead of walking quiet side streets, especially 2–3 blocks off the Strip or north of the Strat after dark.
Casino Etiquette and Tipping
Tip cocktail servers $1–2 for free drinks, avoid using your phone at live tables, and don’t touch face-up cards; staff appreciate discreet photos on the floor but not right over gaming tables.
Transit Options That Make Sense
Use the Deuce bus or SDX along the Strip and to Fremont, the Monorail for east-side resorts, and rideshare for anything off-Strip like Chinatown or Summerlin; renting a car is mainly useful for Red Rock and day trips.
Show and Attraction Booking Timing
Big shows and popular exhibits often sell out or spike in price close to the date, so lock in one or two must-do tickets a week or two before, and leave the rest of your evenings flexible.
Photography-Friendly Spots and Restrictions
Most outdoor areas and lobbies welcome photography, but some exhibits and casinos restrict tripods and flash; always check posted signs and be ready to switch to higher ISO and faster lenses indoors.
Budgeting With Resort Fees and Extras
Factor nightly resort fees, 15–20% tips, and the occasional rideshare into your daily budget; balancing a few pricier meals with off-Strip local eats keeps the week comfortably ‘moderate’.
