Why It Matters

Two-time Michelin Key recipient (2024 and 2026). The hotel functions as a living gallery in partnership with Spanish and European galleries, hosting rotating exhibitions and chamber music concerts throughout the season. It's also a certified plastic-free property and committed to sustainability.

Can Alberti is a 14-room luxury boutique hotel occupying a grand 18th-century manor house right in the historic centre of Mahón — Menorca's understated capital. The Alberti family built it in 1740 during the British period, and the bones of the place are still intact: original floors, imposing wooden beams, thick stone walls, and a shaded inner courtyard where breakfast is served each morning. It's a calm, residential kind of place, owned and managed by a French couple who have layered in contemporary art exhibitions, wellness treatments in a vaulted stone room, and a rooftop terrace with views over the port. No pool, no resort noise — just quality and quiet in a genuinely beautiful old building.
