Why It Matters
Claims to host the highest rose garden in Europe — over 6,000 roses in 250+ varieties at 1,480m altitude, created by the family in 2008. The on-site restaurant features a Stube dating to the 15th century. At only 13 rooms, it is one of the smallest 4-star hotels in South Tyrol. Michelin Guide listed and Tablet Hotels curated. A 13-room, fourth-generation family hotel perched at 1,480m in the hamlet of Bulla, a few kilometers above Ortisei. The building is a 16th-century farmhouse, completely rebuilt in 1979 but with the original Stube reintegrated into the restaurant. There is exactly one reason the Uhrerhof punches well above its 4-star classification: the Zemmer family, who run the place with a warmth that has guests coming back year after year. The views of the Val Gardena valley from the infinity pool — heated to 32°C and set nine metres above ground — are genuinely hard to beat.
