Grischa is the kind of hotel that actually earns the word 'best' in a town with serious competition. It's a 4-star Superior property right in the heart of Davos Platz, directly opposite the Jakobshorn cable car station and the train stop — you can literally step off the train and be inside in under two minutes. The design takes its cues from the surrounding mountains: local wood and stone, shabby-chic leather chairs, and a 2×7 metre Murano glass icicle light sculpture hanging in the lobby. But the real headline is Apollo, a one-Michelin-star fine dining restaurant inside the hotel, making this one of the few mid-mountain ski towns where you can have a gourmet meal without driving anywhere.
