Up on a quiet hill above Miyara Bay, Ishigaki Hills is exactly two villas — nothing more. Opened in April 2024, it sits on a 1,050 sqm site with ocean views stretching out in every direction. Each villa is rented whole, so your group gets the entire building: pool, kitchen, living area, bedrooms, and all. The property earned a Michelin Guide Selection in 2024, making it the first vacation-rental-style property in the Ishigaki area to get that nod. You cook, you swim, you watch the sun drop into the Pacific, and the nearest neighbor is far enough away that it actually feels private.

Open Sky Villa
The more refined of the two villas. Built on a 485 sqm site with 103 sqm of interior space, this one comes with an electric piano in the living room, a sky deck, a jacuzzi beside the pool, and garden beds for lounging under stars. Two bedrooms with semi-double beds sit on the ground floor, each done in Ryukyu tatami and indigo-dyed textiles. The loft — accessed by an external staircase — sleeps two more on singles and keeps its own privacy even within the villa. The heated infinity pool looks straight out over Miyara Bay. Capacity is up to 8 adults (6 beds plus 2 futons by request).

The bigger of the two, sitting on 530 sqm with 133 sqm of interior. Higher ceilings than the Open Sky Villa give it an even more open feel. There are two lofts (4 single beds total) above the bedrooms, plus 4 semi-double beds on the ground floor — a total of 8 beds for up to 8 adults, plus futons for 2 more by request. The barbecue setup is proper outdoor dining, and the Outdoor Villa is where you'll find the electric-assist bicycles and the Ryukyu limestone ping-pong table. Barrier-free entrance makes it the accessible-friendly choice. Same heated infinity pool and garden beds as the Open Sky Villa.

Both villas have their own private heated infinity pool, usable year-round. Step-entry design means shallow sections for young children. At night, it works as a night pool with atmospheric lighting and star views. There's no extra charge — it's included with the villa.
A projector is available in the villa for movies and presentations, bookable or included as a facility amenity.
Finnish-style löyly tent sauna set up in your villa's garden. Up to 4 people, 2-hour sessions, temperatures to 100°C. Staff-assisted löyly and heat wave service available. Cool-down in the private infinity pool after.
A yoga instructor comes to your villa for a private outdoor session from 7:00–8:00 AM, surrounded by ocean views and birdsong. Sessions are about 60 minutes. Yoga mats provided. Guests-only add-on, scheduled to fit your stay dates.
A one-of-a-kind ping-pong table made from Ryukyu limestone — a local coral limestone material — located at the Outdoor Villa. More of a conversation piece than serious table tennis, but fully playable.
