Orion Treehouses
Eco-luxury treehouse B&B. Nature-forward, romantic, and family-friendly without being precious about it. Think sleeping in the forest canopy with proper beds, teak bathtubs, and mosquito-net four-posters. Not a hotel — four cabins around a natural pond, run by hosts who know every guest by name.
Shere Khan is the most romantic pick — 28m², teak bathtub, hammock on a big terrace, tucked away at the edge of the woods
Why It Matters
One of the rare genuinely ecological stays on the French Riviera. Listed in both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels, featured in Condé Nast Traveler. All four cabins are named after Jungle Book characters. The natural swimming pool is filtered by water plants and oxygenated by a small waterfall — Richard Hammond called it 'like swimming in Evian' in The Guardian.
Four red-cedar treehouses perched on a 7,000m² wooded estate just outside the medieval village of Saint-Paul de Vence. Each cabin has its own private bathroom, alfresco kitchen, and terrace. The centrepiece is an unheated ecological pool filtered entirely by plants, stones, and gravel — swimming amidst dragonflies is genuinely part of the experience. Open late April to mid-October only, which keeps things properly seasonal.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
A cedar barrel sauna heated by an energy-efficient electric stove. Session includes essential oils, infused water, and robes. Best used in combination with a dip in the cold natural pool next to it.
Electric bikes available for rent and delivered directly to the property. Good for exploring Saint-Paul de Vence village and the surrounding valley without needing a car.
The heart of the estate. A natural pool filtered by plants, stones, gravel, and sand, oxygenated by a small waterfall and fountain. Not heated (it's a living ecosystem). Shared by all four cabins. Dragonflies, frogs, and water lilies are part of the deal — guests who want a sterile chlorine pool should go elsewhere.
Hands-on participation in the estate's syntrophic reforestation project, inspired by botanist Akira Miyawaki. Guests can take part in planting and forest regeneration activities within the adjacent Colibri Forest.
The property organises plogging campaigns — jogging while collecting litter — around the local coastline (Cannes, Cagnes, Antibes). A fun way to see the Riviera and contribute to keeping it clean.
