Phu Quoc
Quiet luxury tropical resort. Contemporary Vietnamese architecture meets understated opulence — earthy tones, dramatic water features, and a lobby installation of hand-blown crystal glass by Czech designer LASVIT. Calm and private, but with a buzzy beach club and rooftop bar if you want them.
Request a room or villa on the ocean-facing side — most sea-view rooms face the sunset directly, making your private balcony the best seat in the house at dusk
Why It Matters
The resort that legitimately put Phu Quoc on the international luxury map. IHG's first Regent property in Southeast Asia. All-pool-villa format is rare at this scale, with 206 private infinity and plunge pools across the property. Six distinct dining venues and one of the only luxury beach clubs on the island.
Regent Phu Quoc is IHG's flagship Southeast Asian resort under its revived Regent banner, sitting right on Long Beach on the western coast of Phu Quoc Island. Every one of its 302 suites and villas comes with a private pool — 206 pools in total — and the design by BLINK Design Group weaves Vietnamese vernacular architecture into a soothing, neutral-toned palette. It opened in April 2022, was named best new luxury beach resort in Asia by Travel + Leisure, landed on Condé Nast Traveller's Hot List, and earned a MICHELIN Key in 2025. The sunsets from here, across the Gulf of Thailand, are genuinely spectacular.
