Menorca's first rural hotel, Sant Ignasi occupies an 18th-century aristocratic estate built in 1777, set among centuries-old evergreen oaks and cork oaks just outside Ciutadella. The whole property was completely renovated in 2024 — rooms, buildings, and pool — and the result is quiet, confident, and very Menorcan: natural stone, handmade ceramics, woven textiles, and barely a brochure-worthy excess in sight. It is a genuinely serene place with an exceptional restaurant (Smoix) on-site and solid access to the island's best beaches and historic center.
