Santa Ponsa
Slow-travel agritourism with Moorish-colonial soul. Think rattan furniture, cement tiles, linen curtains, and a 5,000 sqm organic kitchen garden — all very deliberate, very French-curated, deeply rooted in the Menorcan terroir.
The Casita is a standalone room about a 10-minute walk from the main reception — romantic but impractical if you need quick access to facilities at 2am
Why It Matters
One of only two Relais & Châteaux properties operating under this concept in Menorca: guests effectively get two distinct estates — one for lush gardens and spa wellness, one for cliffs and raw nature — for the price of one booking. The spa, built into 18th-century cisterns with an underground pool, is genuinely one of a kind on the island.
A 17th-century aristocratic finca on 100+ hectares of Menorcan countryside, Santa Ponsa is the garden-and-palace half of Fontenille Menorca's two-property concept. The red-painted façade, Moorish terraced gardens, ancient stone cistern spa, and 22 rooms spread across the main house and converted outbuildings give it a character that feels genuinely earned rather than designed. Its sister property Torre Vella — clifftop, rawer, wilder — sits just 10 minutes away, and guests can freely access both.
