The fish market is most active in early morning — arrive by 6 AM to see the boats unloading their catch. Fridays get crowded with local families shopping at the souk. Ramadan changes everything — restaurants close during the day, but the evening iftar atmosphere is special if you're respectful. Summer is brutal. July temperatures hit 45°C, and the humidity from the port makes it feel worse. If you must visit in summer, go very early morning or after sunset.
