May through September offers the best weather for most activities. July and August bring peak crowds and heat to coastal areas, with temperatures reaching 35°C. But these months also provide perfect beach weather and long daylight hours. May and September strike the ideal balance. Temperatures hover around 25°C, beaches are swimmable, and mountain hiking remains comfortable. Accommodation prices drop significantly outside peak season. Rain is minimal during these shoulder months. Winter (November-March) limits coastal activities but opens up different experiences. Tirana's cultural scene thrives year-round. Mountain villages may become inaccessible due to snow, though this creates stunning scenery for photography. Spring arrives early in Albania.
