Andalusia in September
Great time to visit
September is one of the best months to visit Andalusia.
All Months
Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) offer the sweet spot - warm days, cool evenings, and fewer crowds. April brings Easter processions that transform entire cities into outdoor theaters. May means perfect weather and blooming orange trees, though hotel prices climb.
Summer heat is no joke here. July and August regularly hit 40°C (104°F) in inland cities like Seville and Córdoba. Locals disappear indoors from 2-8 PM, and you should too. The coast stays cooler, making beach towns bearable. If you must visit in summer, plan outdoor activities for early morning and late evening.
Winter (December-February) brings mild temperatures perfect for walking, but shorter days and occasional rain. Some coastal restaurants close, and mountain areas can get surprisingly cold. But hotel prices drop significantly, and you'll have major attractions mostly to yourself. The Christmas season adds festive markets and special concerts to the mix.
