Antigua and Barbuda in April
Great time to visit
April is one of the best months to visit Antigua and Barbuda.
All Months
December through April brings perfect weather — dry trade winds, temperatures in the low 80s, and minimal rainfall. This is peak season, so expect higher prices and advance booking requirements for popular restaurants and activities.
Sailing Week in late April transforms the island into one giant regatta party. Hotels fill up months ahead, but the energy is infectious — steel bands, yacht parties, and racing action make it worth the crowds and premium pricing.
May through November offers significant savings and fewer tourists, but comes with hurricane risk and higher humidity. Early summer (May-June) provides the best balance of good weather and lower costs, while September-October sees the highest storm activity.
The Christmas and New Year period brings the highest prices and biggest crowds, especially around English Harbour. Book accommodations and restaurants well in advance, or consider visiting in early December or late January for similar weather with more availability and better rates.
