Belize in June
Not the best time
June isn't ideal for Belize. Consider a different month.
All Months
December through April offers the best weather — dry, sunny, and breezy. Temperatures hover around 80°F with low humidity. This is peak season, so expect higher prices and crowded dive sites. Book accommodations early.
May brings the start of rainy season, but don't let that scare you. Rain usually comes in afternoon bursts that clear quickly. Prices drop 30-40% and you'll have ruins and reefs mostly to yourself. Just pack a rain jacket.
June through November is hurricane season, though direct hits are rare. September and October see the most rain — up to 12 inches per month in some areas. But this is also when the jungle comes alive with wildlife.
Lobster season opens June 15th and runs through February 14th. If you're here for the seafood, time your visit accordingly. Conch season runs October through June.
Christmas and New Year bring crowds and inflated prices. Easter week sees heavy domestic tourism as Belizeans head to the beaches. February and March offer the sweet spot — great weather without peak season madness.
