Fall owns Boston. September through October delivers perfect weather, stunning foliage, and baseball playoffs. Hotels book up fast and charge premium rates, but it's worth it. Spring (April-May) offers mild temperatures and blooming Public Garden, though April can be unpredictable — pack layers. Summer brings outdoor concerts on the Esplanade and Red Sox season, but also crowds and humidity. Winter separates tourists from locals. January-March means snow, brutal winds off the harbor, and shorter days. But you'll find cheaper hotels, uncrowded museums, and a more authentic Boston experience. The city transforms into a winter wonderland after fresh snowfall, especially around Beacon Hill's gas-lit streets.
