Botswana in November
Good time to visit
November is a reasonable time to visit Botswana.
All Months
April through October delivers Botswana's best weather and wildlife viewing. The dry season means animals concentrate around water sources, making game drives productive. May through August brings cool mornings (around 10°C) and warm days (25°C) — perfect for all-day activities. September and October heat up significantly, but wildlife viewing peaks as water sources shrink. The Delta's flood cycle runs opposite to rainfall — waters rise from June through August, creating incredible mokoro experiences. November through March is hot, wet, and many camps close. But here's what tour operators won't tell you: shoulder seasons (April-May and September-October) offer the best value. Camp rates drop 30-40% and you still get excellent wildlife. Bird watching is spectacular during the green season (December-March) if you can handle the heat and humidity.
