Cagliari in October

May through October gives you the best weather, but each season has its personality. May and June are perfect — warm enough for beaches (water hits 20°C in June), fewer crowds, and wildflowers covering the countryside. Hotel prices stay reasonable. July and August bring scorching heat and packed beaches. Poetto becomes a sea of umbrellas, and finding parking anywhere near the coast is impossible. But the nightlife peaks, and every beach club and restaurant is open. September and October might be the sweet spot. Water temperature stays around 22°C through September, crowds thin out, and you get those golden Mediterranean sunsets without the summer chaos. October can be rainy, but you'll have the city mostly to yourself. Winter is mild but wet. Many beach clubs close, but the museums and historic sites stay open, and you'll pay half-price for hotels.
