July and August bring intense heat (often 30°C+) and packed beaches - book accommodations months ahead for summer visits. Barcelona can feel suffocating in August when locals flee to the coast. Winter (December-February) sees mild temperatures around 15°C but many beach restaurants close. March and April can be unpredictable with occasional rain, though Easter week brings beautiful weather and colorful processions.
