February and March heat up but grass stays short, making rhino spotting easier. Avoid April through September - monsoon rains flood trails and wildlife disperses into thick jungle. The park actually closes some areas during heavy monsoon season. October marks the end of rains when animals emerge from hiding spots. Morning temperatures in winter hover around 10°C, perfect for early safaris, while afternoons reach comfortable 25°C. Book accommodations early for December and January - it's peak season with limited lodge capacity.
