October through March gives you the perfect Coorg weather — clear skies, cool mornings, and comfortable temperatures that hover around 15-25°C. The post-monsoon period from October to December offers the greenest landscapes and flowing waterfalls, but book accommodations early as this is peak season. January and February bring the clearest mountain views, making it ideal for photography and outdoor activities. Coffee harvest season runs from December to February, so you can watch workers picking cherries on the plantations. March marks the beginning of summer, but temperatures stay pleasant due to the elevation. This is shoulder season, so you'll find better deals on accommodation and fewer crowds at popular spots. Avoid June through September unless you enjoy heavy rain and leeches on forest trails. The monsoon brings 2,500mm of rainfall, turning roads muddy and making many attractions inaccessible. But if you do visit during monsoon, you'll see Coorg at its most dramatic — waterfalls at full power and mist so thick you can barely see 10 meters ahead.
