Cornwall in January
Not the best time
January isn't ideal for Cornwall. Consider a different month.
All Months
May through September gives you the best weather, but July and August bring crowds that can triple accommodation prices. Late spring (May-June) offers wildflowers, fewer tourists, and reasonable prices – though the sea's still chilly. September is the sweet spot: warm weather, calmer seas, and the summer hordes heading home. Winter has its own appeal if you don't mind Atlantic storms – dramatic but not for beach lovers. Many attractions close November through March. Easter marks the start of tourist season, so book ahead. The Eden Project and major attractions stay open year-round, but many seaside B&Bs shut down completely in winter. Weather's unpredictable – pack layers and waterproofs whatever the season.
