But it's also when prices double, traffic becomes unbearable, and finding a quiet beach spot requires military-level planning. September and October might be the sweet spot. The sea stays warm from summer heating, crowds thin out after kids go back to school, and you get that golden autumn light that photographers love. Restaurant terraces reopen after closing during the hottest summer months. Winter isn't written off either. Sure, you won't be swimming, but temperatures still hit 18°C on good days. It's perfect for exploring inland towns, playing golf without melting, and enjoying the Costa del Sol's other side beyond the beaches. Plus, hotel rates drop to almost silly levels.
